There are 3 styles of closed borders available. Close borders are polygons, with the last defined point connecting back to the first.
Property Border
Creates a simple property border, for the definition of property lines. These borders may be printed. Borders which are only property borders, are shown in WHITE.
Clipping borders are not printed, and are used to clip topo data / contour line display / printing. Clipping borders are not printed, but allow for the clean cuttoff of areas for display or printing.
2 types of clipping borders are available:
Outer - All topo/contour lines OUTSIDE of this closed border is clipped...or unseen.
Outer clips, are shown in RED,
Before an Outer clip aplied around the field...
After an outer clip applied.
Inner - All topo/contour lines INSIDE of this closed border is clipped...or unseen.
Inner clips are shown as blue
Inner clip border applied in addition to above example.
Combined borders have the attributes of both a clipping border and property border. That is they, both clip display just as a clipping border, and are printed as a property border.
Open borders are polylines of 2 or more points, and by definition are ONLY property borders. They are for the display of property lines only, and are useful when multiple fields have been surveyed together, with different owners.
In addtion to the above example, an open border is added, roughly dividing the field into 2. Note that the border is never clipped, or mapped lines, only topo / contour lines are clipped.
