Origin

1. Origin
The arbitrary starting Cartesian coordinates for the bench location.  When a new field is opened, the default coordinates are loaded. 
These can be manually changed as necessary.

SET BENCH button

2. SET BENCH button     Sets the current location to the coordinates set in the origin.  This button will be disabled when PDOP is above the user limit, or the minimum fix type is not achieved. [ALT+S]

FINISHED button

3. FINISHED button     Exit the bench window.  This DOES NOT SET A NEW BENCH. [ALT+F]

SAVE LOCATION button

4. SAVE LOCATION button     Opens a save window to save the current location (X, Y, Z) for future use as a bench location. [ALT+V]

LOAD SAVED button

5. LOAD SAVED button     Opens a load window, to use a saved bench location.  Upon loading, the saved location will be loaded into the default origin coordinates[ALT+L]

Benched Status

6. Benched Status
  • "Benched with Field" - A bench currently exists for the field.
  • "Master Bench Needed!" - A bench is required before continuing.

Bench Description

7. Bench Description
A description of the bench location.  Must be complete or a bench cannot be set.

Current lat / long

8. Current lat / long
This displays the current lat / long / elev.  Useful if you need to see this information, at any time.

AUTO BENCH button

9. AUTO BENCH button
 
In cases where the receiver must be mobilized from it's mounted position, autobench allows the operator to physically move the receiver to the desired benchmark location.  Once the specified seconds time out, a bench is automatically set.  [ALT+A]
 
Warning:  The receiver MUST be the same distance above the ground surface at the bench location, as it is in its standard (vehicle) mounted position in order for elevations to be relative!
